Here is some context regarding our sheet sizes:
Until approximately three years ago, our Queen-sized sheets were designed to accommodate mattresses ranging from 140 to 160 cm (55 to 63 inches) in width, which encompassed both Double and Queen sizes. However, as mattresses have evolved to become larger and deeper, we made adjustments to our sheets to correspond with these changes, particularly in terms of depth. Unfortunately, this modification resulted in sheets that were too large for Double-sized beds.
During this three-year period, there were very few requests for Double-sized sheets—until recently. When I developed our new website a few months ago, I thought it would be beneficial to reintroduce the Double-sized dimensions in our size chart to gauge interest. Since then, we have noticed a marked increase in searches for Full/Double sizes on our site, along with personal inquiries via email and phone.
In light of this growing interest, we have decided to prototype Full/Double sheets to reintroduce them into our product lineup. However, we have encountered a challenge, as this size falls between the dimensions of our extra-wide Twin/XL sheet (51 inches wide, which we offer in Europe) and our standard Queen sheet at 60 inches wide. This means that we will need to create these sheets from the ground up. Regrettably, this process may take some time as our initial test sheets did not meet our quality standards. We are committed to ensuring that our products are of the highest quality, and we will not proceed until we are confident in the final result.

Regarding questions about sheets for Split Head King adjustable mattresses, we have sold a considerable amount of them. However, please note that we do not carry them in stock as they have to be custom-made in our manufacturing facility in Germany.
There are two main versions of Split Head King beds, one with a top split of about one-third length (60 cm or approximately 24 inches) and the other with a top split of about half-length (90 cm or approximately 36 inches). To place an order, we need to know the specifications you require, as well as the color(s) you prefer. This information will help us to order them to be included in one of our routine shipments from our factory in Germany.
Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns. We are always happy to assist you.
When discussing bamboo sheets, it’s important to note that they are crafted from so-called semi-synthetic fibers.
In contrast, we prioritize our cotton sheets to stay as organic as possible, although not completely due to the Elastane component. Bamboo sheets are made from Viscose, a regenerated cellulose fiber.
The process involves dissolving natural fibers into a pulp and then liquifying them using Caustic Soda (Sodium Hydroxide - NaOH), then re-arranging them with Carbon Disulfide (CS2) to be extruded into the desired shape. However, this process raises potential concerns as Caustic Soda is the active ingredient in drain cleaners like "Drano," and Carbon Disulfide is neurotoxic. While the main impact is on the workers during manufacturing, there has been no definitive and serious study on potential trace amounts of toxic chemicals in Viscose fabric since its invention about 140 years ago.
Because Viscose can be extruded with a completely round diameter and without crevasses in very fine gauges, it is considered silk-like ("Fake Silk") and a bit softer than naturally occurring cotton with its kidney-shaped diameter. Consequently, we have made a conscious decision to stay away from Viscose in all its various shapes, forms and derivatives.
Based on your description, it is highly likely that the Jersey sheets you purchased at a lower cost employ short fibers in their yarn. Although not immediately noticeable, these "short-staple fibers" easily separate from the yarn structure to protrude outwards and clump up, resulting in small balls known as "pills."
In contrast, our sheets' yarn composition utilizes exceptionally fine-spun, "long-staple" Mako Cotton fibers that impart softness, smoothness, and integrity to the yarn and, with a little bit of care, prevent it from pilling.
We provide "Easy Care Instructions" with every order we ship, and we recommend washing our sheets separately for optimal prevention of pilling.
Despite this being the best practice, we sometimes point out - as our sheets are made from "knitted" fabrics - that it might be OK to wash anything non-woven like other knitted Jersey sheets, t-shirts/undershirts, or even soft knitted sweaters, sweat pants or sweatshirts (without zippers) together with the sheet, as long as these items are made from cotton or cotton with Elastane (Lycra or Spandex) and can be washed at 140ºF or 60ºC. However, you do not have to wash your sheet at 140ºF. A lower temperature would be acceptable, too. It should be fine.
Problems start to arise, however, when washing with other fabrics, as we describe in our added "Easy Care Instructions". Towels, for instance, are usually Frottee or terry cloth material, and the larger surface loops are too harsh for the fine Jersey knit fabric of the sheet. As can be woven materials like regular shirts, pants, etcetera, especially when they are made from and/or contain synthetic fibers like Polyester. In a dynamically moving environment like washing or drying, any contact with "woven" fabrics of any kind, in particular Polyester or Polyester-containing fabrics or towels, friction between those fabrics and our Jersey knit sheets can have a sandpaper effect. This causes the sheets' long staple surface fibers to break down into smaller and shorter pieces. These tiny "splinters" on the fiber surface then stick out of the fabric and eventually curl up into little balls, also named "pills." This process is called "mechanical pilling" and prematurely ages the fabric of your sheets.
In summary, it is advisable to select sheets crafted from yarns made with extra-long-staple cotton fibers. Furthermore, adhering to recommended care practices is essential to ensure the longevity of your sheets.
We are currently exploring the possibility of offering matching pillowcases in white; however, they are not yet part of our official product line.
Our primary focus has been on providing high-quality fitted sheets that fit mattresses perfectly, as we believed that finding coordinating pillowcases and top sheets might not be a top priority for our customers. We have learned from our feedback that we were mistaken. The response to the soft, knitted cotton jersey fabric has been overwhelmingly positive, leading to an increasing demand for coordinating pillowcases.
While we have successfully sold these pillowcases in Europe, we are ready to manufacture them for the U.S. market as well. The challenge lies in the increasing variety of pillow sizes and shapes. We currently offer 28 colors, with plans to extend this to 48 colors in the near future. Our pillowcases come standard in 2 sizes and 3 different variations: open, with buttons, or with tiny zippers. You can imagine that managing such a multitude of variations quickly poses a warehousing challenge. However, we are committed to refining our processes to streamline and accommodate these necessary changes within the foreseeable future.
To enhance the customer experience, we are in the process of developing a new website that will feature a dropdown menu with different pillow size options corresponding to each sheet size. However, this project is still in the early stages and it will take some time to bring to fruition.
In the meantime, we recommend color-coordinating our sheets with your existing favorite bedding. Our wide range of color options is designed to facilitate this.
I hope this clarifies our current situation regarding pillowcases. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
Unfortunately, we currently do not offer flat sheets or pillowcases to accompany our fitted sheets. This is due to the nature of our products, which are designed as part of a European bedding system. You can find this information detailed in the pricing section on each of our product pages under the "Please Note" tab.
For example, as mentioned:
"Please Note:"
"Soniodoro Perfetto®" is a fully stretchable fitted Jersey Knit sheet that is part of a German wellness sleeping system. As such, it does not include a flat sheet or pillowcases. We highly recommend coordinating your fitted sheet with any existing flat sheets or other bedding accessories using our comprehensive "Color Chart" to ensure a perfect match.
Our Jersey knit stretch fabric, made from a blend of 96% cotton and 4% Elasthane, offers exceptional stretch for our fitted sheets. However, this same elasticity does not lend itself well to top or flat sheets. We’ve found that a top sheet with similar elastic properties would be continuously springing back, which is not a desirable experience! We experimented with this concept, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. In fact it was downright embarrassing. So, we are still working on it.
While we could potentially create top sheets using a different fabric, such as high thread count Mako sateen, this might lead to challenges in achieving the exact color match between the two different fabric types.
Our primary goal has been to provide a high-quality fitted sheet that offers the perfect fit for your mattress. We initially believed that finding matching pillowcases and flat sheets would not be a significant concern for our customers. However, we’ve received an increasing number of requests for these additional items, which we truly appreciate.
We genuinely value customer feedback, and it’s encouraging to hear increasing requests for pillowcases and flat sheets from our loyal users who appreciate the comfort of our knitted cotton Jersey fabric. Thank you for your understanding and support as we navigate these considerations, and we’re committed to continually improving our offerings.
