Using the "Jersey Knit" fabrication process rather than a "weaving" process, Jersey Knit textiles have already far greater stretch properties than rigid woven fabrics solely by their characteristically different nature of construction.
However, the real distinction lies in the innovative yarn composition. Extremely fine spun, long staple Egyptian Mako cotton fibers make the yarn soft and smooth and prevent it from "pilling". Together with 4% Elastane (Lycra®) which can stretch up to 8 times of its original length, creates the uniform and stunningly all-directional elasticity of the fabric itself and not only the drop-offs of the sheet.
